LEGRAND 1:87 plastic model, highly detailed design and printing, blue interior, delicate rims, length: 50mm.
One of the intellectual fathers of the "Uhlenhaut Coupe" and the 300 SLR Roadster racing versions (W196S) was Rudolf Uhlenhaut, head of the testing and racing department. The "Uhlenhaut Coupé" named after him (there are only 2 versions worldwide) also differs from the "normal" 300 SL (W 198) in its even more dynamic body shape. Mercedes-Benz auctioned the original vehicle with the red interior (No. 008/55) at the Mercedes-Benz Museum / Stuttgart in May 2022 in a spectacular auction for the record price of 135 million Euros to found the "Mercedes-Benz Fund". It is thus the most expensive vehicle in automotive history!
